This video is about talking to people face to face instead of through a phone. Although we can see pictures of one another, talk to each other, and text each other on a phone, it doesn't compare to actually seeing them in person. People need to get out an explore the world with others. People need to see something beautiful in real life not just in a picture.  Instead of using their phones to get around, people need to ask a real person for help or directions. Lives are too short, and they need to be filled with making memories not spending time on an electronic device.

What is a 'splash page'? Look it up. Explain what they are and how they are used. Find an example of a splash page in Google Images. Save the image to you computer and then upload it to your blog post. Hint - see below.

A splash page is the front page of a website that doesn't contain the actual content, but it shows the reader what the website is about. They are usually used to draw in a potential client or they are used to advertise new products. They can also be used to display warnings, or they can allow people to chose settings. Normally, users don't like them because they can take a long time to load and they don't really have any information on them.

Read THIS blog post by a teacher. I mean actually read it. Take it in. Think about it. And then, write about it. What do you think about it? What is the teacher trying to say? In your own words explain what "the main event" is. Do you agree or disagree with the writer?

I thought the article was meant to motivate students. The teacher is trying to say that every little thing you do and don't do has some effect on your future. I may not make a difference in your grades, but it makes a difference in how you over come challenges and how you don't give up. The "main event" that is described in this article is the reality of life and how school isn't just about grades, but is about learning how to cope  with things.

What are three things you learned about color theory and web design yesterday? Go in to detail.

There are many things that I learned from yesterday. I learned that you have to pick colors that go with your topic. I also learned that you can't just pick random colors that you think go together, you need to pick colors that are analogous, complementary, or split complementary. One last thing that I learned is you need to pick a background color that makes everything else on top of it pop.

One future websites I will be able to add more information without creating a totally different page in my website. This will make it easier for the reader to understand and hopefully make the website more interesting.

Think about how a user (me or anyone else using your site) might function and interact with your site. What are some important functional features to make your website easy to work with? How can you make it easier for the user and not frustrating? Explain why this is so important.

Important functional features that make your website easy to work with are making sure that your website is easy to navigate and making sure that your information is clear and easy to read. You can make it easier for the reader  by checking all of your links to make sure they go to the correct spot and making sure that they work. Also, you can make sure that the information is clear and easy for the readers to understand. This is important because a user might leave your website or not get the correct information if they don't know how to use the website.

Tell me if you agree with this statement and then explain why or why not. "Images on the internet are 'free game' - if someone posted it, I should be able to use it."

I do  agree with this statement, but taking a picture without giving the creator/photographer credit is like taking information without giving the author credit. If you use a picture, you need to give credit to the creator/photographer.

What do you already know about web design? How it works? Programs you can use? Tools that exist? Anything.

I know that codes are involved when setting up a web site. I also know that their are many web sites that can help you set up websites. Blogger.com is one web site that is used to help set up a web site.
