This video is about talking to people face to face instead of through a phone. Although we can see pictures of one another, talk to each other, and text each other on a phone, it doesn't compare to actually seeing them in person. People need to get out an explore the world with others. People need to see something beautiful in real life not just in a picture.  Instead of using their phones to get around, people need to ask a real person for help or directions. Lives are too short, and they need to be filled with making memories not spending time on an electronic device.

What is a 'splash page'? Look it up. Explain what they are and how they are used. Find an example of a splash page in Google Images. Save the image to you computer and then upload it to your blog post. Hint - see below.

A splash page is the front page of a website that doesn't contain the actual content, but it shows the reader what the website is about. They are usually used to draw in a potential client or they are used to advertise new products. They can also be used to display warnings, or they can allow people to chose settings. Normally, users don't like them because they can take a long time to load and they don't really have any information on them.

Read THIS blog post by a teacher. I mean actually read it. Take it in. Think about it. And then, write about it. What do you think about it? What is the teacher trying to say? In your own words explain what "the main event" is. Do you agree or disagree with the writer?

I thought the article was meant to motivate students. The teacher is trying to say that every little thing you do and don't do has some effect on your future. I may not make a difference in your grades, but it makes a difference in how you over come challenges and how you don't give up. The "main event" that is described in this article is the reality of life and how school isn't just about grades, but is about learning how to cope  with things.

Status update! Tell me where you are at on your product website? Can you be finished by tomorrow at the end of the hour? Do you need more time? How much more time? Be honest and explain yourself.

I have all my pages linked up, but I only have two of my context pages done. I will not be able to finish by tomorrow because I was absent for two days. I will need to come in before or after school in order to finish.

Do you like the layout of this project? Have you benefited from your brainstorming sheet? Was it more helpful or annoying when starting to map out your website? Explain why.

I like the layout of this project. The brainstorming sheet has made it easier for me because I am able to write my ideas down on paper, so I won't forget them. I was more helpful because I didn't have to waste time deciding how to make my website/

Welcome back! How was your Spring Break? Tell me all about it. You've been out of school for 10 days so I know you will have plenty to share. Make it good!

Over Spring Break, I went to Vietnam. I didn't have the best time over there, but it was an adventure. I went to Saigon, Bien Hoa, Mui Ne, and Phan Theit. My favorite part was the last three days of our trip because we were at a resort. In the beginning, we got to experience the real Vietnam not tourist part of it. Also while I was there, I got to meet my aunt's family. Overall, it was an experience I will never forget.

After reading below to see where you should be on your product website - are you caught up? What helps you stay caught up in class? Do you like having small checkpoints? Are you behind? If so, what are you going to do to get caught up?

I am pretty much on track for my website. I am finishing up creating all the links in my footer and starting to put information into the body of my index. I have been trying to stay on task and stay caught up with the rest of the class.
